9 Tips to Make Your Move Painless

All that hard work can take the excitement out of moving. Follow these helpful tips to make moving a little less painful:

1. Always use quality supplies like boxes, bubble wrap and tape to pack your belongings.
2. Establish a clean work area to properly pack and organize your belongings.
3. Use the right-sized box. Do not over-pack heavy items, as that could break the box.
4. Pack heavy items on the bottom of the box and lighter items on top.
5. Don't leave empty space in the boxes. Fill gaps with softer items such as towels or bubble wrap.
6. Make sure boxes can be fully closed and properly taped.
7. Label each box with its designated room and contents.
8. Pack and wrap dishes and fragile items individually.
9. Take apart large items and unplug all electronics prior to the movers’ arrival
